At first glance the Calista ring is a classic three stone ring, but upon further examination it has gorgeous, intricate detailing, with its own personality all the while still maintaining a timeless design. Instinctively your eyes veer towards the magnificence of the custom cut, huge, hot pink, sapphire, and colorless, large, trillion cut diamond side stones, but then you begin to dive into the details. Designing this ring was a challenge trying to balance the beauty and scale of the stones, while still wanting to give this ring its own signature style. We settled on adding a timeless rope twist detailing on the shank of the band and then continuing the texture onto all the prongs tying in the design elements while maintaining a sense of cohesion. Ian Hearney rings are built to last and be family heirlooms, so we leave the back of the ring plain in the event that it needs to be resized in the future if necessary.

Can be crafted in yellow or rose gold upon request. Additionally, we can also provide an additional bid to be cast in 18k gold. If you love this style but would prefer a different color sapphire, we can custom cut a stone to your preference.

What does F color, VS1 clarity laboratory grown diamonds mean? Laboratory grown diamonds share the same chemical, physical, and optical properties of their natural counterparts. F color grading means the diamonds are colorless and VS1 clarity means the diamonds are very slightly included. This grading of diamonds is luxurious and reserved for the finest diamond brands.

Why lab grown?

We chose to use laboratory grown stones (also known as cultured or cultivated stones) because of their quality and their innate ability to not have to be mined with child or forced labor, poor working conditions, and unfair pay. Our cultured stones are a greener alternative to mined stones, while still maintaining all the same chemical, physical, and optical characteristics of their natural counterparts. Our gems beat the market with their appearance as we custom cut each and every sapphire by hand to ensure we offer the most luxurious material available. We take attention to detail very seriously and never cut any corners when making a piece of jewelry.
